Our ideal captain:
- Holds a USCG Captain’s License (or is actively pursuing one — we’ll help the right person get there)
- Has serious fishing skills and a passion for helping guests reel in unforgettable moments
- Loves storytelling — because our guests come for more than just the fish; they come for the story of the Potomac
- Appreciates wildlife, especially the river’s incredible bat colonies and birdlife that make every evening charter unique
- Is dependable, personable, and ready to help shape FishThePotomac’s next chapter
🎣 What You’ll Be Doing
As a captain or fishing guide with FishThePotomac, you’ll:
- Lead private fishing charters and sightseeing cruises on the historic Potomac River
- Share the story of Washington, DC’s waterways — past, present, and future — with locals and visitors alike
- Work alongside our team during Kids Fishing Camp and youth programs
- Help create awesome content for our growing social media presence
- Represent the FishThePotomac brand with professionalism, humor, and passion
